Youth of Rainbow with the support of the European Youth
Foundation is announcing a call for Participants for the Training “Show it out! - LGBT Arts, encourages Human
Rights!”.
About the event
The training will take place between the 12th and 21st of June in Azerbaijan, Sheki. Participants will arrive on the 12th of June and depart on the 21st of June.
Objectives
- to help participants improve their knowledge and skills in order to develop tools to engage the communities to advocate for better police treatment of LGBT+ people.
- to encourage participants (with or without experience using theatre) to reflect their daily lives, anxiety and share their experiences, stories, challenges, etc with one another, in order to strengthen the use of theatre for human rights work.
The programme will be based on the principles of
non-formal education and mutual learning. We strive for an active and inclusive
environment for direct communication and sharing of knowledge. The sessions
will be balanced between theoretical inputs, work in small groups, workshops,
discussions, training, and other interactive methods of non-formal learning.
Who should apply
We are looking for participants up to 30 y/o from Azerbaijan to discuss concepts of human rights defence mechanisms, raise their human rights concerns and schedule certain drama activities to implement in communities.
Practicalities
Language: This activity will take place in Azerbaijani.
Costs: The cost of travel, lodging (accommodation in multi-bed rooms, food, and refreshments), and working materials during the event will be covered by the organizers. Youth of Rainbow will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants with the condition of combining the most economic and environmentally friendly means of travel.
